Description: Light- weight Saleyard RFID reader designed for animal RFID for quick accurate identification.
Features include: Electronic or manual inputs of the following
a) Date/Time (automatic)
b) PIC (promise identification code) ID number or Lot number (numerical & alphabetical)
c) Split lot entry's with auto deduction from original lot
d) Animals RFID number
e) Animals Visual Tag number
f) Animal Count (Includes RFID & Visual Tag)
g) 2000 RFID tag memory on BoonCard
h) Downloading of either single or total lots
i) Direct Downloading of tags when reading (tag echo) through cable or bluetooth
j) Downloading through Booncard into spread sheet for management
k) Fix or interchangeable length of wand for different application

Operation


Start the Reader
Display will show
a) Software Version
b) Unit ID
c) Date/Time
d) Battery level
e) BoonCard ID
f) Number of records and remaining bytes

You are now ready to start READING
The tag number read will be displayed and counted with 2 beeps
If the tag is a duplicate the facia will display the tag number but the number is not counted with only one beep
If animals do not have a RFID tag you can enter a visual tag numbers manually by pressing OK, the Facia will display
'Enter Visual Tag'
upon completion press OK
Once OK pressed, the total session is recorded to BoonCard

You can check the current PIC/LOT# or enter a new PIC/LOT.


You can do a Split LOT by enter the LOT number that you wish to split followed by an Alphabetic letter, e.g. 22A (this will only remove tags from lot22) Read the animal tags that you wish to split from that lot, e.g. 2 tags from Lot 22, then press OK again. The tags just read will be deleted from the original LOT and saved to the new LOT number entered, e.g. from LOT 22 into LOT 22A.

Key Menu Functions including the following functions:

'Download'
Enter the PIC/LOT number you wish to download, the tag data under that number will be downloaded to the computer.

NOTE To download information from the reader to the computer, you can either use the supplied communication cable to connect the reader to the computer, or use the supplied card reader to read the BoonCard when connected to the computer with the supplied card reading software.





You will also be able to switch from 'Download PIC/LOT RFIDTags' to 'Download All Records', all information in the memory card will be downloaded.

'Configure', the following options are displayed
Options (press down arrow)
a) Time Set or Adjust
b) Date Set or Adjust
c) Backlight Timer Timer Set
d) RFID Timer Reading cycle timer set
e) Power OFF Timer Set to required time out
f) Options Press OK
i) RFID Read cycle Continuous or Single
ii) RFID Tag Echo On: Tags read downloaded direct to computer
Off: Tags not downloaded direct to computer
iii) PIC/LOT# Check Yes: Duplicate PIC/LOT# checked therefore not allowed change.
No: Duplicate PIC/LOT# allowed to change
iiii) RFID Tag Check All PIC/LOT#: Check the tags read against all the tags already in the reader.
Current PIC/LOT#: Check the tags read against the tags already in that PIC/LOT.

g) Unit ID Enter if required
h) Restore Defaults Restore reader to default settings
i) Exit to Monitor Exit reader program (Note: This function is only for upgrades from Boontech, not for normal operations)

'Memory Card' the following options are displayed
a) Memory Card Status Displays Card ID & remain Bty's
b) Clear Card Displays 'Clear All Data are you sure' press OK if DATA is to be CLEARED
c) Dump Card Data This will DUMP all data in the memory card through communication cable into computer for error diagnoses purpose.

'TEST' the following options are displayed
a) Test TAG READER Only if there is a problem will the test display problem
b) Key Pad Test by pressing DOWN arrow
c) Serial Only if there is a problem will the test display problem
d) Battery Press enter to display REMAING BATTERY POWER (normal operating range 5 - 6 volts)

'POWER' the following options are displayed
a) Turn OFF or To Charge Batteries
