Tuning the Antennas

All antennas will be tuned to its maximum performance during installation. After installation, the antennas normally do not require re-tuning unless the installation environment experienced major changes. To re-tune the antennas, we recommend that the job be performed under the direction of an authorized Boontech technical representative to guarantee maximum performance.
Operation

Start the reader:

1) Power on the reader and Autolink 2) The Autolink screen will display "Reader Idle" or "Reading Tags" with counting when fully started. Note: For description on Autolink setting and operation please refer to attached Autolink Features
Read Transponders:
After the reader is fully started, feed the cattle or sheep with transponders into the alley between the antennas in a natural way that the animals will walk or run through the alley without squeezing each other. A continuous flowing of the animals through the alley is preferred to guarantee reader performance and efficiency. When an antenna reads a transponder, the reader will indicate with one beep. The number of transponders read within one reading cycle (without resetting counting) will be displayed on the Autolink screen and the LED display box. The last 26 identification codes of the transponders read will also be displayed on the Autolink screen. All the identification codes of the transponders read are sent through the communication cable to the client PC in real time, and the last 1000 identification codes will also be store in the memory of the Autolink. Before the Autolink counting is reset, the last 1000 identification codes stored in the memory can be resent to client PC through the "Resend tags" command in the menu of the Autolink. The system can be reset and started a new reading cycle or temporary stop reading and resume reading
Turn off reader:

To turn the reader off, simply turn off the power to the reader and Autolink power supplies.
